New Student Portal and Student Information System (SIS)
We will soon be launching our new Student Portal and Student Information System (SIS). The system will serve as a brand new My Alliant and a one-stop shop for many day-to-day needs.
In order to implement this new and improved system, the current My Alliant portal and system will be out of commission on Monday, November 25th at 6 pm PST. That means that some services like transcripts and class registration will be unavailable from the evening of the 25th until the new portal launches on December 10th.
To address any pressing needs you may have between now and the planned system outage, IT Helpdesk support has been expanded and will be available from November 29th through December 1, from 8 am to 10 pm PST. If you have any questions or need any support, email IThelp@alliant.edu or give us a call at (858) 635-HELP (4357) (and be sure to press number 1 in the menu options).

My Alliant Student Portal FAQs
Q: What are some of the functions that I can access through the My Alliant Student Portal?
A: The My Alliant Student Portal is the gateway to view your academic information (including grades and tracking your degree progress), view your financial aid and student account information, receive personalized communication from University staff, and use self-service tools to register for your courses and access commonly used University forms. The portal is also your hub for accessing University resources such as the Library, IRB, Academic Support and Tutoring, and the Student Assistance Program.
Q: Can I still access the previous student portal?
A: The New My Alliant Student Portal replaces the former portal and offers an easier way to access the documents and functions formerly accessed through the previous student portal.
Q: How do I reset my password to access the My Alliant Student Portal?
A: 1) If you have registered for Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR), click here to reset your password.
A: 3) If you are an existing user, have not registered for SSPR, and you do not remember your old password, please email the IT help desk at: IThelp@alliant.edu Please provide, via email or phone, the following security information and provide a non-Alliant e-mail for correspondence:
- ID number
- Date of birth
- Address the University has on file for you
- Alliant e-mail
- Non-Alliant e-mail
