My name is Laura Nicassio and I am currently working on my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at the California School of Professional Psychology (Alliant International University, Los Angeles Campus). I am dedicated to bringing awareness to mental health and fostering the connections we have with others. As a future Marriage and Family Therapist, I hope to provide individuals and families with a therapeutic experience tailored to their needs, wants, and goals. While also focusing on the importance of how our culture, values, and lived experiences, shape who we are. I am interested in continuing my education in Marriage and Family Therapy, in the hopes of beginning my PsyD program after my Masters.
Fun Fact: I enjoy playing softball, being out in the water, going on road trips, and I'm also a dog trainer!
Research Interests: Biracial and multiracial populations in mental health.
Favorite part of the program: Understanding the individual in a relational aspect, recognizing how important insight and awareness into ourselves and how we see the world, and the community of professors, classmates, and practicum experience!
