I’m a Clinical Psychology PhD student who is really passionate about supporting families, promoting mental health awareness, and creating safe spaces for people to express themselves. With experience as a student ambassador, I love building community, uplifting others, and helping people feel understood.
Fun Fact: I can cook just about anything from scratch, and I am always down for a concert.
Research Interests: Family systems, intergenerational trauma, and cultural influences on mental health
Favorite part of the program: My favorite part of the program is definitely the professors. Even as a first year I feel really supported, they know you by name, check in on you, and really want to see you grow. It makes the whole experience feel welcoming and personal, even before starting practicum.
Practicum/Internship site: I haven't started my practicum yet since placement begins in the second year of the PhD program.
Advice to first year students: As a first-year student myself, I'd say the biggest advice is to prioritize your mental health and stay organized. Keeping a planner has helped me manage deadlines, classes, and life in general.
