Jennifer Williams (She/Her)

Hometown: San Diego, CA

Jennifer Williams graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. She spent over a decade working in marketing and sales for a medical communications agency that provided education and training services to pharmaceutical companies so they could educate health care providers on medical illnesses and pharmaceutical products. She then ran an events business for four years.

Jennifer has an interest in creating better mental health care for military personnel, so she obtained a Psychiatric Technician certificate and worked on the mental health inpatient ward at Naval Medical Center, San Diego. She obtained a Masters in Psychopharmacology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2022 and is a current second year student in the Clinical PsyD program at Alliant International University, Fresno.

Fun Fact: I have seen Pearl Jam 41 times and in multiple countries.

Research Interests: Rorschach, military populations, ketamine and psilocybin as treatment for mental health issues, psychopharmacology.

Favorite part of the program: The opportunity to work with diverse populations and to combine my interest in clinical psychology with psychopharmacology.

Advice to first year students: Spend time settling into doing classes and learning the professors and how they teach first semester so that you are ready to take on the addition of practicum second semester.
