Ashli Perkins (She/Her)

Hometown: Oakland, CA

My name is Ashli and I am currently a second-year student in the PsyD program at the San Francisco Bay Area campus. I hold a few different roles on campus including being a teaching assistant and the co-chair for the Student Government Association. I have enjoyed my time on campus and have grown immensely within my first year. Please reach out with any questions or if you’d like to connect!

Fun Fact: I stayed in California for both my undergraduate and graduate programs!

Research Interests: Positive psychology, Black mental health, and mindfulness.

Favorite part of the program: Regarding my practicum site, I enjoy working with college students and outreaching which involves collaboration with different clubs on campus. For my program, I appreciate the support from my professors and fellow peers.

Advice to first year students: Be a self motivator when it comes to both academic work and self care. Do your best to make time for both!
