Hello! My name is Antonio Mora. I am a first-generation college student of immigrant parents. I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. I am in my first year of the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Alliant’s Sacramento campus. I am also a student assistant and the SGA representative for the MFT program on campus. Outside of school, I love to watch the Sacramento Kings and my favorite soccer team, Chivas de Guadalajara.

Fun Fact: I am a Sacramento Kings season ticket holder, LIGHT THE BEAM

Research Interests: Latin American and Immigrant experience in therapy

Favorite part of the program: I love how introspective the program has pushed me to be. I have been vulnerable and open with my cohort and we have developed a bond with one another that I have not experienced elsewhere.

Advice to first year students: I recommend being open and vulnerable with the subjects you will face. I think being open minded in this program is crucial because it allows us to help ourselves and really understand how we can help others.
