Hometown: Birmingham, AL

Amber is a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional, advocate, mother, wife, friend, and student. She is pursuing a PsyD in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in Fresno. Amber is committed to social justice, mental health equity, and holistic care, which is evident in her volunteerism, leadership, and professional affiliations. She is a member of SGA-Fresno and Fresno Global Initiative. She is also a student member of the American Psychological Association, the Association of Black Psychologists (ABPsi), American Counseling Association, and California Psychological Association (CPA). Amber serves on the Student Boards for ABPsi and CPA. She is also a member of Junior League of Fresno. When not spending time with family or busy with academic or organizational demands, Amber enjoys true crime podcasts, poetry, DND with colleagues, existential conversations, rpg video games, listening to music, and reading.

Fun Fact: I enjoyed playing golf in high school and am the oldest of 6.

Research Interests: Trauma, Addiction, Spirituality

Favorite part of the program: My favorite part of my program is the experiential components early on and support to explore my interests.
