My experience with my professors, administrative staff and in particular with my cohorts (classmates) has been very positive. As a racially diverse student with prior military service, I feel the impact of a university is measured by both the school experience and the relationships that last long after graduation. The networks I have developed of faculty and cohorts I feel will serve me well now and in the future.
I am a regular visitor to the Tutoring Center, and I am extremely happy with the level of support, encouragement, knowledge and critical thinking abilities I am receiving and developing that has been of tremendous help for my dissertation.
Alliant CSPP faculty and staff, including my academic advisor and regional director, have been instrumental in my success at the University. They have provided unwavering support, guidance, and care throughout my doctoral studies, preparing me for my future career as a Clinical PsyD. What sets Alliant CSPP apart is the sense of family and inclusivity, creating a supportive community for students. I am grateful for their dedication and proud to be a part of the Alliant CSPP family.
I completed my Masters degree from Alliant in and am now returning to obtain my Psy.D. in Marital and Family Therapy. My experience with the professors, administrative staff, and veteran advocates has been overwhelmingly positive. I'm extremely proud to be a part of this academic environment that supports diversity of all types and provides its students with the necessary tools for success in the field of MFT.
I was having trouble navigating the Alliant Library online so I sent an email to library@alliant.edu and a lovely librarian set up a Zoom right away and spent over an hour with me, explaining and walking me through practical examples. She also gave me some great tips on external resources. She was a wonderful communicator - patient and approachable.
